The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced the opening of registration for defaulters and private candidates for the 2025/2026 service year. This opportunity is specifically tailored for Ghanaian citizens who completed tertiary education but were unable to enroll in the national service program in previous years.
According to Mr. Felix Gyamfi, the Director-General of the NSA, this registration period is a crucial opportunity for individuals who missed their chance to serve the nation. The NSA urges all eligible candidates to take advantage of this window.

To be eligible, applicants must fall into one of two categories: private candidates with credentials certified by accredited tertiary institutions or Ghanaian nationals who have studied abroad.
The registration process requires applicants to submit specific documents, including:
- Letter requesting a PIN Code or reactivation of a PIN Code: Addressed to the Director-General of the NSA
- Attestation letter from the institution attended
- Certified true copy of the school certificate
- Copy of Ghana Card and Student ID
- Passport inspection for foreign-trained applicants
- Payment of a GHC50.00 processing fee
- Original copies of these documents for verification

Applicants can submit their registration documents at any NSA Regional Office nationwide or at the Headquarters in Accra during working hours. The registration period runs from Monday, March 17, 2025, to Friday, July 18, 2025, excluding weekends and public holidays.
