Five Trainee Nurses Kicked Out of School for Using Forged WASSCE Results - Nak Concepts



Five trainee nurses have been expelled from the Akim Oda Community Health Nurses Training School for using forged West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results to gain admission. 


The school's principal, Mr. Jones Abeka-Baah, emphasized that every applicant's credentials undergo thorough scrutiny before admission is granted. He warned that if anyone is found to have used illegal means to gain admission, they will be expelled.

Forgery of academic certificates is a serious offense in Ghana, punishable under the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29). Those found guilty of forging documents can face imprisonment. 


The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Act 2006 (Act 719) also criminalizes the falsification of WASSCE certificates, with severe consequences including prosecution, fines, and custodial sentences.

The expulsion of the five students serves as a warning to prospective applicants about the consequences of academic fraud. Aspiring health professionals are advised to adhere to ethical admission practices to avoid severe legal and professional consequences.
