A female student of the Adventist Senior High School in Kumasi has been severely injured after being shot in the head by a colleague during class on Friday morning.
The incident occurred after the morning's lesson, when the suspect, who is in the same class as the victim, brandished a pistol. Some students, who doubted if the pistol was real, were shocked when the suspect pulled the trigger.

The victim, a year-two student, was rushed to the Kwadaso SDA Hospital and later referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for further treatment. The suspect was arrested by the Suame District Police, and an investigation is currently underway.
