FINALLY: 10% Salary Increase Approved for Ghanaian Gov't Workers - Nak Concepts

 

Ghana's government has approved a 10% salary increase for public sector workers under the Single Spine Salary Structure, effective January 1, 2025. This move follows successful negotiations on the 2025 base pay and aligns with the government's commitment to fair and sustainable remuneration for public service workers. 

The new salary structure will be implemented by relevant institutions, with the Controller and Accountant-General's Department handling necessary calculations for accurate payment processing.

Notably, the interim market premium remains unchanged and will be calculated based on the 2012 Single Spine base salary. This decision reflects the government's intent to maintain equity and consistency in public sector compensation while ensuring budgetary sustainability.
